Decyfer Down was formed in 1999 as Allysonhymn by guitarist Brandon Mills and drummer Josh Oliver, evolving from an acoustic act to a rock band with the addition of Caleb Oliver and guitarist Christopher Clonts. After changing their name to Decyfer Down, they gained traction with their debut album, "End of Grey," in 2006, which featured five No. 1 singles and helped them tour with major acts like Puddle of Mudd and Breaking Benjamin.
Their second album, "Crash," released in 2008, also achieved success, producing hits like "Fading." Following lineup changes, including the departure of Caleb Oliver and drummer Josh Oliver, they released "The Other Side of Darkness" in 2016. The band has continued to perform and record, with their latest single "Cycles" released in 2023, showcasing their ongoing evolution in the Christian rock scene.
